First Friday is usually such a joyous occasion, but this Friday was full of tears as the Taste the Truth campaign hosted its last event at Esque Eyewear. Maybe all that vodka has gone to my head. BUT WAIT the campaign isn’t over yet (I sound like Tye on Extreme Home Makeover, but it’s true). You’ll see the Taste the Truth team at the World Café Live, The Level Room's - MySpace Party and last but not least the Philadelphia Weekly Taste Event. So wipe those tears and let’s make fun of some people at First Friday… woo hoo!

What about that weirdo that kept following me around the entire night from place to place invading my personal space? Oh wait… That was my friend Mike the close talker. Don’t you hate close talkers? I don’t get it… Doesn’t it feel weird to be that close to someone’s face? Is that some kind of disorder? Maybe they didn’t get the memo about keeping an arm's length from someone. AND if someone starts backing up isn’t that the international sign of YOU'RE TOO CLOSE? I found some good moves online that I’ll have to try next time like: strong-arm the person in the collarbone, put your foot out or the age-old step and pivot move. Hopefully these moves can help you the next time you encounter a close talker.
