On Friday afternoon, Taste the Truth hopped the bridge to Cherry Hill, NJ for a taste test at the offices of the Star Group.

While fighting off the constant urge to sneak off to the adjacent break room to shoot hoops on the arcade basketball machine, we managed to get some solid tasting done. Instead of playing H-O-R-S-E, it was V-O-D-K-A, with Pravda throwing down against Absolut and Smirnoff. The results? Imagine Reggie Miller in a bejweled PRAVDA jersey shooting threes against two second-graders. No contest, Pravda for the win.

And on to the partygoers…where to begin? A Euro-fashion and motorcycle enthusiast meeting (total member count: 3) straight out of the Zoolander callbacks was apparently double-booked for the same room, with attendees sporting some serious boot action. Big props are also due to the designer in the creepy vintage Nightmare on Elm Street t-shirt…but maybe next time make sure your Friday the 13th shirt isn’t in the wash on casual Friday (it was actually the Friday the 14th, but that’s close enough for us).

Finally, how could we forget the shining star of the night…no it wasn’t the 5-pointed mixed-nuts platter…it was the remarkably gung-ho gentleman who brought his own tumbler glass and orange juice mixer to the vodka tasting. If only Generation Y showed this much ambition…
